SWIFTNet has enabled institutions to connect with correspondents, counter parties, service providers and market infrastructures with a single network interface and connectivity. Further SWIFT has provided developers toolkit and APIs for their interfaces that will help application s to directly communicate with those interfaces and establish application to application connectivity over SWIFTNet. Application providers and banks can take advantage of this to achieve secure STP and high levels of efficiency (and therefore cut costs).
