SWIFTNet
Release 5
It’s
time for growth and, with the availability of Release 5.0 SWIFTNet is ready to
deliver.
SWIFTNet
Release 5 is coming and with it a set of new functionality and products aimed at
delivering bottom-line value, enabling access to the entire single window and
expanding the SWIFT community as a whole.
Delivering
value
With
the SWIFTNet migration drawing to a close later this year, the SWIFT community
is now turning its attention to achieving a return on its investment. The
services that are most compelling to SWIFT members are those that will allow
them to create a tangible return on investment in a short time period. The
improvement in Release 5 that delivers the most obvious opportunity to do so is
the new FileAct store-and-forward mode.
The store-and-forward mode for FileAct enables secure exchange of files with a
large numbers of counterparties, regardless of whether or not they are online at
the time of transmission. FileAct is an ideal way to send a broad variety of
files such as bulk payments, securities value added information and reporting,
commercial trade information, credit related information, intra-institution
reporting or operational information.
SWIFTNet release 5.0 is accompanied by the following
releases of the SWIFT interface products:
- SWIFTNet Link (SNL)
5.0
- SWIFTAlliance Gateway
(SAG) 5.0
- SWIFTAlliance
Webstation release 5.0
SWIFTNet customers should install and use the new release
of interfaces at their earliest convenience, considering that release 4.x
interface remain supported until end of March, 2005.
